Three employees of Seoul Metro, including Director A, have been suspended from their positions amid allegations of accepting bribes such as golf entertainment from a supplier.
According to Seoul Metro on the 24th, Director A and two other employees from the Technical Headquarters will be suspended effective the 25th. A and the others are under police investigation for accepting money and entertainment, with the severity of their misconduct making it difficult for them to perform their duties normally.
Earlier, the company reported to the police after receiving a tip that Director A had received golf entertainment and other benefits from a supplier involved in a private contract.
The Seongdong Police Station in Seoul has booked the individuals on charges including bribery and conducted a search of Seoul Metro’s headquarters office on the 17th.
