Overall Management of Support Operations Including Strategy, Finance, and Procurement
On the 24th, SK Hynix established a 'Corporate Center,' an organization supporting the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and appointed Song Hyun-jong as its president. The SK Hynix Corporate Center operates directly under the CEO and integrates and coordinates support tasks in areas such as strategy, finance, corporate culture, and procurement.
SK Hynix stated, "As the company's status in the global artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor market rises and the CEO's role expands, the Corporate Center was established to support the decision-making of President and CEO Kwak No-jung."
Starting from the 1st of next month, the newly appointed President Song, who will be in charge of the Corporate Center, is expected to consolidate decision-making and work content from previously dispersed organizations and directly communicate them to President Kwak.
President Song has been performing decision-making support and insight provision related to SK Group's semiconductor business at SK Inc. A graduate of Seoul National University’s Department of Economics, he joined SK Telecom in 2003 and served as head of the IR office, head of the Growth Strategy Group, head of the Future Management Office, and director of the Management Support Group. He then moved to SK Hynix in 2012, taking roles such as head of the Future Strategy Headquarters and marketing and sales responsibilities, earning a reputation for his extensive knowledge and experience in overall management.
