However, household members whose household income exceeds 70% of the median income standard or whose assets exceed 400 million KRW are restricted from participating.

The recruitment covers a total of 26 projects, including ▲roadside and public facility environmental maintenance ▲administrative work assistance ▲DB construction projects, with work placements from August to November for up to four months.

If there are dropouts due to personal circumstances, additional placements will be made in order of waiting applicants who were not initially selected, allowing more citizens to participate and reducing workforce gaps at project sites.

Those wishing to participate in the public work jobs should refer to the announcement posted on the city hall website and visit the administrative welfare center in their district, town, or neighborhood with identification and related documents to apply in person.

The selection results will be individually notified by the 30th of next month after a comprehensive review based on criteria such as asset status, household income, and the number of times participating in the same type of job.

Those finally selected as participants in the public work project will be paid 9,860 KRW per hour for up to 40 hours per week. Four major insurances, snack expenses, and weekly/monthly leave are supported separately.

A city official stated, “We hope this public work project will provide practical help to the unemployed or vulnerable groups without regular income,” and added, “We will also make every effort to improve the working environment and prevent worker safety accidents at each project site.”
