Changnyeong Seongsan-myeon Community Support Council Invites Veterans in Honor of Patriots and Veterans Month

Expressing Gratitude and Respect for the Patriotism and Dedication of Veterans ... Hosting Samgyetang Day

The Seongsan-myeon Community Security Council in Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 24th that it held a Healthy Samgyetang Day at the Seongsan-myeon Welfare Center, inviting about 40 veterans in honor of June, the Month of Patriots and Veterans, and served them samgyetang.

The event was organized with the sponsorship of Seong Seokdong, president of the Changnyeong Hometown Association in Busan, who is originally from Seongsan-myeon, to express gratitude and respect for the patriotism and dedication of the veterans.

One of the elderly veterans who received the samgyetang said, "I am truly grateful to President Seong Seokdong for not forgetting his hometown and arranging such a meaningful event."

Lee Jaesoon, chairman of the Seongsan-myeon Community Security Council, said, "I bow my head in deep gratitude to the veterans who worked hard to build the Republic of Korea as it is today."

He added, "I hope the seniors will enjoy the carefully prepared samgyetang and stay healthy through the hot weather."

Seong Hyekyung, head of Seongsan-myeon, said, "I would like to thank the members of the Community Security Council for preparing this event even during the busy farming season," and added, "We will continue to pay close attention to the welfare of veterans and their families who have dedicated themselves to the country, and strive to create a culture where veterans' families are respected."
