Puzzle AI "MOU for Commercialization of AI Nursing Medical Records with DK Medi Info"

Puzzle AI, a company providing an integrated electronic medical record solution based on artificial intelligence (AI) voice recognition, announced on the 24th that it has signed a strategic partnership (MOU) with nursing information startup DK Medi Info to commercialize a voice electronic nursing record system (Voice ENR).

In preparation for the AI era of nursing medical records, through this business agreement, both companies agreed to actively share voice recognition AI technology and cloud-based practical electronic nursing record system development expertise to develop and commercialize an educational nursing medical record system.

To become a nurse, one must complete numerous specialized subjects and undergo various practical training in medical settings; however, education on electronic nursing record documentation, which constitutes a significant part of actual nursing work, is rarely provided. To address this issue, DK Medi Info developed the cloud-based practical electronic nursing record system ‘SmartNals ENR,’ the first of its kind in Korea. This product is a practice and educational Software as a Service (SaaS) that allows nursing students to electronically document ‘nursing journals’ and other records during nursing information classes.

Recently, advanced countries such as the United States have begun using voice recognition AI and generative AI for electronic medical record documentation. It is anticipated that the era of artificial intelligence will also arrive for nursing medical records, creating a need for a new educational ENR system.

Lee Dong-gyun, CEO of DK Medi Info, stated, “We are pleased that the development of a next-generation educational nursing medical record solution equipped with AI technology will enable essential medical record education for future healthcare settings.” He added, “We plan to expand the number of nursing colleges using SmartNals ENR from the current 60 to 100, and we are in discussions with over 10 countries including the United States, Singapore, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Turkey, Taiwan, and the UAE to export to overseas nursing colleges.”

Kim Yong-sik, CEO of Puzzle AI, said, “Startups led by nurses and doctors who have directly experienced the challenges of nursing work in actual medical settings will collaborate to develop user-centered solutions that improve convenience.” He expressed confidence, saying, “When Puzzle AI’s trusted and recognized medical AI technology, used by 70 major domestic hospitals and general hospitals as well as overseas medical institutions, is combined with DK Medi Info’s unique educational ENR system, it will have global competitiveness.”

Meanwhile, Puzzle AI has successfully raised approximately 20 billion KRW in investment since its establishment. The company is currently preparing for a KOSDAQ market listing by selecting a lead securities firm.
