Operating from July 2 to August 25 ... Opening Ceremony on July 6
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will open the urban summer retreat "Anyangcheon Water Playground" for families on July 2, with an opening ceremony scheduled for July 6.
Located under Ogumgyo Bridge on Anyangcheon at 285-34 Sindorim-dong, the water playground has been one of the district's representative attractions, attracting over 50,000 visitors annually since its opening in 2014.
This year, it will operate from July 2 to August 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Usage is limited to 50 minutes with a 10-minute break, and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. is designated as a rest period. It is closed every Monday and during rainy weather.
The Anyangcheon Water Playground features varying water depths of 0.2m, 0.4m, 0.6m, and 0.75m, and adds fun with seven water play fountains. It is equipped with auxiliary facilities such as Mongolian tents, outdoor showers, temporary changing rooms, and food trucks.
For safe management, the district conducts CPR and first aid training for staff before opening, establishes an operation headquarters on site, and prepares for emergencies.
Additionally, the water tanks are cleaned daily, and water quality tests are conducted once a week.
Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, said, "We will strive to manage the facility so that everyone can have a safe and cool summer," and added, "We hope families create joyful memories together."
