The attached kindergarten at Seoul Namsan Elementary School, located in Myeongdong, Seoul (17, Toegye-ro 22-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul), will open on September 1.
The attached kindergarten next to Namsan Elementary School is recruiting a total of 104 children by June 28, with a capacity of 28 children in two classes for 3-year-olds, 36 children in two classes for 4-year-olds, 40 children in two classes for 5-year-olds, and 4 children in one special class.
Since Ilsin Kindergarten in Hoehyeon-dong closed in February 2023 due to a decrease in the number of students, there have been no daycare centers or kindergartens within a 500-meter radius of Namsan Elementary School, causing difficulties for nearby residents. Therefore, the residents warmly welcome the establishment of this attached kindergarten. Jung-gu plans to continuously support the revitalization of the kindergarten through educational program support and subsidies for educational expenses.
The attached kindergarten is a newly constructed building dedicated to kindergarten use, approximately 840 pyeong in size, with one basement floor parking lot and four floors above ground, located right next to the elementary school, providing a safe and comfortable educational environment.
In addition to the curriculum from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the after-school program from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., morning care from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and evening care from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. are provided, offering all-day care in the city for dual-income families and others. Being located in downtown Seoul, transportation is convenient, and various multicultural education and arts and physical education programs are also supported.
