This inspection was conducted to prevent accidents during the upcoming rainy season amid continuous rain from the morning.
On that day, Mayor Park Gang-su and officials from related departments checked the water levels and flow rates of the streams and examined whether safety measures such as river access blocking facilities were functioning properly.
After completing the river inspection, Mayor Park Gang-su urged the related departments, saying, "I believe the safety of residents is the top priority, and I hope you will make every effort to prepare for flood and water damage."
He added, "We will continue to create a safe Mapo 365 days a year through ongoing inspections and preventive activities."
