Two Grand Prize Teams to Compete in September National Competition
The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Fire Headquarters (Chief Lee Osuk) announced on the 21st that it held the "22nd Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province 119 Fire Song Contest" at the provincial government auditorium with 600 participants from 15 teams.
According to the Fire Headquarters, this year's 22nd 119 Fire Song Contest is an annual event aimed at helping children learn safety messages contained in the lyrics of children's songs by singing them, thereby fostering a culture of safety awareness.
This year, choir members from 8 kindergarten teams and 5 elementary school teams selected from 15 fire stations across the province took the stage to perform enthusiastic choir competitions.

The judging criteria consisted of three categories: vocal ability (40 points), work completeness (30 points), and creativity (30 points). The scores from three judges who are experts in music and children's songs were combined to determine the rankings.
As a result of the competition, the kindergarten division's top prize was awarded to the Early Morning Kindergarten team from Gunsan Fire Station, and the elementary division's top prize went to the Buan Dong Elementary School team from Buan Fire Station. Both teams that received the top prize earned excellent scores in vocal ability and were praised for their overall outstanding stage composition.
The two teams that won the top prize in each category will represent Jeonbuk Province and compete in the national competition to be held at the Jeju International Convention Center in September.
Chief Lee Osuk of the Fire Headquarters said, "Safety values should be naturally formed from an early age," and added, "We will do our best to prepare various educational programs to help children cultivate safety awareness in their daily lives."
