A video showing Fubao reacting by looking around when greeted by Korean visitors has been released.

In the video posted on Chinese social media Weibo on the 20th, when Korean visitors said "Hello Fubao" and "Oh my, Fubao is out," Fubao looked at each visitor one by one and looked around. Those who saw this reacted with comments like "Is Fubao looking for the zookeeper grandfather?" and "It seems to remember Korean."

Previously, Xiang Xiang, a panda born in Japan and returned to China, also attracted attention by reacting when Japanese visitors spoke Japanese.

Fubao is a panda born on July 20, 2020, between Lubao and Aibao, pandas sent by Chinese President Xi Jinping in March 2016 as a symbol of Korea-China friendship promotion. After 1,354 days since birth, Fubao returned to China on April 3 this year. After about 70 days of quarantine and adaptation, Fubao was opened to the general public on the 12th.

Meanwhile, the Wolong Xueshenping Base in Sichuan Province, China, temporarily closed the outdoor enclosures of Fubao and Baoli from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today (21st). The outdoor enclosures are undergoing upgrades. The base announced that during the upgrade period, they plan to do interior work such as planting trees for Fubao.
