SKC announced on the 21st that it is "not considering a merger between its subsidiaries SK Enpulse and ISC, and no specific decisions have been made" in response to reports about a potential merger.
However, the company stated that it is "exploring various options to create synergy between SK Enpulse and ISC, its semiconductor business subsidiary."
ISC is a global semiconductor test solution company acquired by SKC last year. Its main product is test sockets used for electrical characteristic testing of semiconductor chipsets. SK Enpulse is SKC's investment company in the semiconductor materials business, expanding its high-value-added materials business for semiconductor front-end processes, such as CMP pads and blank masks.
