This District Mayor: "I Will Take the Lead in Passing on Security Awareness and Patriotism to Future Generations"
On the 21st, Lee Soon-hee, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, attended the '6.25 War Food Tasting and Security Photo Exhibition' held at Solbat Park in Ui-dong, where she communicated with residents and participated in serving food at the war food tasting event.
This event, hosted by the Korean Freedom Federation Gangbuk Branch (Chairman Kang Kyung-deok) to commemorate the 74th anniversary of the 6.25 Korean War, featured a free tasting of barley rice balls, barley rice cakes, corn, potatoes, and hardtack?foods eaten during that time?as well as a security photo exhibition displaying about 100 photos vividly depicting the horrors of the war.
More than 300 residents attended the event to view the security photos and experience the war food.
Lee Soon-hee, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, “In this month of patriotic remembrance, it is a meaningful time to reflect on the preciousness of the freedom and peace we enjoy,” adding, “I once again express my gratitude to the patriotic martyrs who gave their lives for the country, and I will continue to take the lead in passing on the spirit of security awareness and love for the country to future generations in Gangbuk-gu.”
