EVE Advanced Materials and Prologium Demonstrate World's First Gigabyte-Class Lithium Ceramic Battery

EV Advanced Materials, the first domestic investor in the Taiwanese solid-state battery company 'ProLogium Technology Co.', unveiled a video demonstrating the world's first gigawatt-scale lithium ceramic battery line on YouTube on the 20th.

ProLogium has been recognized for its technological capabilities and received investments from SoftBank, China Venture Capital, CRFM, and Mercedes-Benz. Domestically, EV Advanced Materials and POSCO Holdings have made equity investments.

According to the economic transition scenario by Bloomberg New Energy Finance, electric vehicles are expected to account for 81% of all cars sold in Europe by 2038. To meet this demand, solutions that reduce energy and production waste, carbon emissions, optimize process performance, and integrate battery recycling systems are expected to strengthen Europe's battery manufacturing value chain.

The 'solid-state battery,' known as the next-generation battery for electric vehicles, replaces the internal electrolyte with a solid and eliminates the separator, ensuring safety while enabling miniaturization and increasing energy density, making it a next-generation battery.

An EV Advanced Materials official stated, “We will develop into an eco-friendly company through the expansion of the electric vehicle FPCB business and investments in the battery business.”

Meanwhile, the largest shareholder of EV Advanced Materials is Nexton Bio, holding 10,309,276 common shares (17.42%).
