Blockchain specialized company Galaxia Metaverse announced on the 21st that it will exclusively unveil the winning works of the BuzzArt (BBuzzArt) Emerging Artist Contest on 'MetaGalaxia'. BuzzArt is a subsidiary of Yeolmae Company, which operates the art co-purchasing platform 'Art & Guide'.
Starting today, the works issued as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are the contest-winning pieces by artist Kim Gari, who has built a reputation as a fashion illustrator collaborating with global brands such as Burberry and Bulgari: ‘Each Lover’s Own Task’ and ‘The Wind Blowing to Me from the Sea’. Kim, also a painter, has showcased various exhibitions with a distinctive painting style and was selected for the ‘2023 BuzzArt Emerging Artist Contest’.
BuzzArt, which hosted the contest, is engaged in discovering emerging artists and developing art content intellectual property (IP) businesses. It provides artists with opportunities not only for exhibitions but also for NFT issuance and art product planning, creating various ways for their works to be exposed and connecting with the public.
The NFTs of Kim Gari’s works, issued by Galaxia Metaverse as limited editions, are limited to 25 pieces per work. MetaGalaxia members can own Kim Gari’s limited edition NFTs using digital currencies such as Galaxia (GAX) and Klaytn (KLAY), or through Korean won payments including real-time bank transfers, mobile payments, and Moneytree Pay. An event is also being held where purchasers of Kim Gari’s NFTs will be entered into a draw to receive an art product (silk scarf) made from Kim’s artwork.
A representative of Galaxia Metaverse said, “We are pleased to exclusively introduce the works of a promising emerging artist on MetaGalaxia,” adding, “We will continue to present noteworthy NFTs in various fields such as art and utility to provide new value to our customers.”
Galaxia Metaverse issues and sells various art NFTs through broad collaborations with artists, companies, and cultural and artistic institutions on its NFT market platform MetaGalaxia. It also offers ‘utility NFT’ products that can be used in real life, such as coupons and tickets.
