Sahakyeongeum Achieves A Grade in 2023 Management Evaluation

The Private School Teachers' Pension Service announced on the 21st that it achieved an 'A grade' for the first time in 13 years since the 2010 management evaluation in the Ministry of Education's '2023 Other Public Institutions Management Evaluation.'

The Other Public Institutions Management Evaluation is a system that fairly and objectively assesses the management efforts and performance of other public institutions each year to establish an autonomous and responsible management system. It evaluates two categories: ▲management strategy and management control ▲major project management and performance, along with bonus points for efforts in implementing public institution innovation plans.

Last year, Sahakyeongeum achieved excellent results in various areas, including ▲recording the highest-ever operating profit of 2.84 trillion won ▲achieving the lowest-ever debt ratio of 2.2% ▲attaining the highest level of management efficiency among other public institutions ▲applying the Pension Act for the first time to 1,591 employees including indefinite contract and part-time workers ▲and recording the highest number of extended service periods at 13,348 cases.

It was selected as an excellent institution for greenhouse gas reduction by achieving the government's 2030 greenhouse gas reduction target ahead of schedule ▲established the 'Sahakyeongeum Sharing Fund' to support vulnerable groups ▲and actively practiced ESG management by becoming the first pension institution to acquire international standard compliance management certification.

The application of OCR and RPA technologies and the establishment of a pension work promptness and efficiency improvement system linked with NEIS ▲strengthening personal information security through blockchain and biometric authentication technologies and cloud system construction ▲and promoting digital-based pension service innovation by building an integrated welfare platform to enhance service accessibility and utilization were also highly evaluated.

Chairman Song Hajung stated, “The excellent results were achieved as all executives and employees did their best in their assigned tasks and continuously worked for institutional innovation,” adding, “We will continue to do our best for stable pension management and the welfare improvement of teachers as a specialized pension and welfare institution.”
