Jung Seung-bin, who debuted as a KBS public recruitment comedian but had to live as an unknown for a long time, hit the jackpot after switching to being a YouTuber. It is said that he currently earns about 600 million KRW annually.

On the 20th, the YouTube channel 'Hwang Yerang' posted a video interviewing Jung Seung-bin. In the interview, Jung Seung-bin revealed, "I have been running a comedy channel on YouTube since 2018." He disclosed that his annual income is around 500 to 600 million KRW. It is known that his earnings come from YouTube ads, Facebook channels, and various social networking service (SNS) platform advertisements.

Jung Seung-bin also explained, "Although my monthly income varies, I save about 30 million KRW each month," adding, "As my earnings increased, I sometimes spent money indiscriminately. So, I keep 3 to 4 million KRW for living expenses and save the rest."

Then, where does the 3 to 4 million KRW monthly living expense go? He stated, "It is mostly spent on delivery food, martial arts gyms, or fitness centers for exercise." It is reported that Jung Seung-bin's current assets, including liabilities, amount to about 1.5 billion KRW.

As a former KBS public recruitment comedian, he decided to switch to YouTube after seeing his friends. Jung Seung-bin explained, "I met friends with whom I spent my aspiring comedian days after a long time. People did not recognize me, a comedian in my fifth year, but they all recognized those friends," adding, "When I asked why, they said they had already started and were active on YouTube."

He continued, "After hearing that the income was decent, I went to YouTube," adding, "Many comedians started YouTube after the end of Gag Concert in June 2020, but I switched to YouTube before Gag Concert ended."

Jung Seung-bin currently runs the YouTube channel 'Kkaebangjeong.' The channel has about 820,000 subscribers, and on the 5th, he received the Creator Award at the '2024 Hallyu Influencer Awards.'

He shared his hopes, saying, "Since high school, I joined a theater troupe and lived for 5 to 6 years without receiving wages. However, things have gone well since I started YouTube," adding, "Since the work I love became my job, there are times when I feel stressed because of the results, but I want to live a life where comedy is just a hobby."
