The ordered products consist of a total of 39 units, including 34 units of 38-ton excavators and 5 units of 50-ton excavators. They are scheduled to be supplied to the Turkish government by the end of the year. This is the first time HD Hyundai Infracore has secured an order from the Turkish government.
The Turkish construction machinery market has been dominated by local brands due to tax benefits and other incentives for domestically produced products.
HD Hyundai Infracore explained that it succeeded in securing a large-scale order by promoting the Dibelon products, which feature excellent engine output and fuel efficiency.
HD Hyundai Infracore plans to participate additionally in excavator tenders by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense following this order.
An official from HD Hyundai Infracore said, "With this order, we have strengthened brand awareness in the Turkish market and secured an opportunity to actively enter the government tender market. We will strive to increase our market share."
Turkey is emerging as a major export market for HD Hyundai Infracore.
Last year, HD Hyundai Infracore signed a supply contract worth 313.1 billion KRW for next-generation tank engines with the local defense company BMC.
It is supplying engines for generators to four Turkish generator manufacturers, including Aksa and Texan.
