Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation to Hold Admission Information Session on the 22nd

The Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies announced on the 20th that it will hold an admissions information session for the 2025 academic year.

The information session will be held on the 22nd at 11 a.m. in the Obama Hall of the Minerva Complex at HUFS.

The first part will proceed in the order of ▲Introduction to the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation ▲Guidance on the trends and precautions of the entrance exam questions ▲Detailed explanation of the second oral interview exam process by department ▲Current students' admission experience stories. Following this, the second part will feature briefings for each of the eight departments of the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation.

HUFS Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation offers the only eight-language interpretation and translation majors in Korea, covering interpretation and translation across global language zones.

In addition, it became the first Asian institution to join the International University Network for Interpreting and Translation (C.I.U.T.I) as a full member in 2004, and it has the largest faculty certified by AIIC (Association Internationale des Interpr?tes de Conf?rence) in Korea.

Furthermore, through the Interpretation and Translation Center and the Interpretation and Translation Research Institute, it is conducting AI digital data research projects on interpretation and translation in collaboration with the National Information Society Agency (NIA).

Kwack Sun-rye, dean of the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation at HUFS, stated, “The goal of HUFS Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation is ‘differentiation,’” adding, “We will make our best efforts to provide ‘differentiated’ interpretation and translation that leads and evaluates the limitations of AI machines by humans.”
