"Unavailable Due to Unexpected Supply Chain Issues"
Separate Notice Will Be Given When Sales Resumption Date Is Confirmed
Sales Previously Suspended in 2022 Due to Delivery Problems
McDonald's temporarily suspended the sale of French fries in South Korea on the 20th.
On the same day, McDonald's announced on its website, "Due to an unexpected supply chain issue, we are temporarily unable to provide French fries."
They added, "We apologize for the inconvenience and will do our best to resume sales as soon as possible."
A McDonald's representative stated, "An unexpected issue occurred with the supplier," and added, "We will provide a separate notice once the normalization date is confirmed."
Meanwhile, McDonald's also faced French fries supply suspension incidents in 2021 and 2022. McDonald's uses frozen potatoes, and at that time, due to COVID-19, maritime transportation was disrupted, leading to the suspension of French fries sales.
