Shinhan Bank announced on the 20th that starting from the 28th, the number of currencies available for transactions with the Shinhan SOL Travel Check Card will be expanded from the existing 30 to 42, and the minimum deposit limit will be lowered from 10 dollars to 1 dollar.
The newly added currencies are ▲Brazil (BRL) ▲Czech Republic (CZK) ▲Macau (MOP) ▲Bahrain (BHD) ▲Kazakhstan (KZT) ▲Pakistan (PKR) ▲Nepal (NPR) ▲Bangladesh (BDT) ▲Chile (CLP) ▲Egypt (EGP) ▲Israel (ILS) ▲Kenya (KES), totaling 12 currencies. Shinhan Bank is the first in Korea to include the Chilean peso in its foreign currency deposit services.
In conjunction with the expansion of available currencies and the peak travel season, Shinhan Bank has prepared an event for customers. The event targets new applicants of the Shinhan SOL Travel Check Card or existing customers who make at least one overseas payment or ATM cash withdrawal during the event period. The event runs from the 28th to August 23rd.
Prizes include ▲2 cruise travel tickets (1 winner) ▲1 million My Shinhan Points travel support fund (10 winners) ▲2 global airport lounge access tickets (31 winners) ▲5,000 KRW CU convenience store gifticons (4,200 winners). Applications can be submitted through the event banner on Shinhan SOL Bank.
A Shinhan Bank official said, “In response to the recent continuous increase in overseas travel demand, we expanded the transaction currencies and lowered the minimum deposit limit to enhance customer convenience, and also prepared a customer event. We will continue to provide various services so that many benefits can be enjoyed through the Shinhan SOL Travel Check Card, which has surpassed 800,000 new issuances.”
