Korean Air Opens New Routes to China... Resumes Flights from Busan and Jeju

Passenger Demand Surges, Increased Frequency on Japan Routes

Korean Air is increasing its supply by resuming some China-bound routes that were suspended after COVID-19. It is also planning to increase flights on certain Japan routes in line with recovering demand.

Korean Air announced on the 20th that starting from the 1st of next month, it will resume seven flights per week on the Busan~Shanghai and Jeju~Beijing routes. The Incheon~Hefei route will operate five times a week from August 19, the Busan~Beijing route six times a week from September 16, and the Incheon~Kunming route four times a week from October 14.

Flights on China routes currently in operation will also be increased. The Incheon~Yanji route has increased by three flights per week from this month and now operates daily. The Incheon~Dalian route will temporarily increase by four flights to 11 flights per week from the 1st of next month until September 15. The Incheon~Tianjin route, which operated once daily, will increase to twice daily flights from August 5 to October 20. The Incheon~Ulaanbaatar route has also increased to eight flights per week from this month until September 30.

Supply on Japan routes, where travel demand has recently concentrated, will also be increased. The Jeju~Tokyo (Narita) route will resume three flights per week from the 19th of next month until October 25. The Incheon~Okayama route, which has recently emerged as a popular small-city travel destination, will increase from three to five flights per week from August 3, and the Incheon~Kagoshima route will increase from three to five flights per week from September 2.
