SK Innovation on E&S Merger Rumors: "No Decisions Made"

On the 20th, SK Innovation addressed reports by some media outlets about a merger between SK Innovation and SK E&S, stating, "We are reviewing various strategic options, including a merger, to strengthen business competitiveness, but nothing has been concretely decided yet," and added, "We plan to re-announce related matters either when a decision is made or within one month."

Earlier, some media reported that SK Innovation would merge with SK E&S, the intermediate holding company of SK Group engaged in hydrogen and LNG (liquefied natural gas) businesses. The report indicated that SK Group plans to give final approval for this merger at a management strategy meeting scheduled for the 28th to 29th, attended by group executives and CEOs of major affiliates.
