One-Call Service for Vacant Jobs Supports Small Recruitment Days... Employment Mediation through Broad Collaboration
“We find the right talent for your company together!”
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will operate a Rapid Employment Support Task Force until the end of the year.
According to the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s Business Labor Survey, Guro-gu’s job vacancy rate is 1.3%, with higher vacancy rates in sectors such as computer, electrical, transportation and warehousing, and information and communication industries compared to other sectors. This indicates that these industries are facing difficulties in recruitment. Additionally, a job creation research report for G-Valley revealed that over 60% of G-Valley companies are experiencing recruitment challenges.
In response, the district has formed a Rapid Employment Support Task Force by collaborating with internal organizations and employment support institutions such as the Guro-gu Middle-aged Dream Center, Youth Eroom, and Job Center. They have also established a metropolitan-wide cooperation system with related organizations and neighboring autonomous districts to actively address the issue.
The seven key industries targeted for support are ▲Food Manufacturing ▲Electronic Manufacturing ▲Wholesale and Retail ▲Health and Welfare Services ▲Transportation and Warehousing ▲Information and Communication ▲Root Industry.
The district is implementing a ‘Vacant Job One-Call Service’ to intensively support job placement. The service targets companies that have registered job openings on Worknet and have received placement services but have not been able to recruit for over a month. By applying via phone, the Rapid Employment Support Task Force collaborates through a networking system with the Gwanak Employment Welfare Plus Center and job centers in neighboring districts to assist recruitment. They also organize ‘Small Recruitment Days’ by grouping similar job categories.
On the 19th, a business agreement ceremony for regional job cooperation was held at the Seoul Gwanak Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Guro-gu, Seoul Gwanak Branch, Geumcheon-gu, Dongjak-gu, and Gwanak-gu signed a business agreement to establish a regional job policy cooperation system, promising joint response and active collaboration.
Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, stated, “We hope to resolve recruitment difficulties and contribute to revitalizing the local economy,” adding, “We will strive to provide substantial support by linking policies and resources at the metropolitan level.”
