A Total of Eight Works to Be Selected, Including Videos, Webtoons, and Instagram Cartoons
The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development is hosting the 5th Korean Medicine Promotional Content Contest.
This contest aims to produce and disseminate content that can widely promote Korean medicine as experienced in daily life, highlighting its strengths, excellence, changes, and the development of modern Korean medicine, so that it can be shared with the public.
The contest is divided into two categories: video and webtoon/Instagram cartoon.
For the video category, participants can submit advertisements of up to 90 seconds in any format, including live-action, animation, or motion graphics. For the webtoon/Instagram cartoon category, submissions should be either a scroll-view webtoon of around 20 panels or an Instagram cartoon of around 10 panels.
The total prize money for this contest is 15 million won, and a total of eight works will be selected.
In the video category: the grand prize (Minister of Health and Welfare Award) will go to one work with a prize of 5 million won; the excellence award (President of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development Award) to one work with a prize of 3 million won; and the merit award (President of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development Award) to two works, each receiving 1 million won. In the webtoon/Instagram cartoon category: the grand prize (Minister of Health and Welfare Award) will go to one work with a prize of 3 million won; the excellence award (President of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development Award) to one work with a prize of 1 million won; and the merit award (President of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development Award) to two works, each receiving 500,000 won.
The contest period runs from June 17, 2024, to August 16, 2024, and is open to all Korean nationals and foreign residents in Korea who are interested in Korean medicine, either individually or as a team.
The winners will be announced on August 30, 2024, and the winning entries will be used as promotional materials for Korean medicine both domestically and internationally through the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development's social media channels.
