On the 19th, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City signed a 'Business Agreement for Mutual Friendly Exchange and Win-Win Cooperation between Local Governments' with Hwasun County at the Hwasun County Office.
At the signing ceremony, attended by Dong-gu Mayor Im Taek and Hwasun County Governor Gu Bok-gyu along with officials from both organizations, the two local governments shared current issues and pledged to work together to solve regional issues for mutual development.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ joint development of cultural tourism programs ▲ mutual tourism promotion through local festivals ▲ activation of youth exchanges ▲ sharing of cultural and sports facilities ▲ operation of local food direct transaction markets ▲ creation of a health walking trail on the old Neoritjae Road ▲ mutual use of promotional electronic billboards ▲ personnel exchanges, totaling eight items, which are planned to be actively implemented from the second half of this year.
Additionally, based on their geographically adjacent locations and distinct advantages, the two organizations plan to promote exchanges and mutual development across various fields such as culture, sports, economy, and education, cooperating to enhance community harmony and welfare.
Im Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, said, "Although the two local governments are adjacent, there has been no exchange until now. I hope this agreement will serve as an opportunity to share each other's strengths in various fields and address common interests together," adding, "We will continue to lay the foundation for the mutual development of Dong-gu, Gwangju, and Hwasun County, Jeollanam-do."
