Dongmyung University Achieves Grade A for Second Consecutive Year as Busan's Only University in Regional University Revitalization Project

Ranked 34th in the World for Leadership by World Innovative Universities

Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) recently received an A grade (Excellent) in the first-year annual evaluation of the University Innovation Support Project Type III, part of the Regional University Revitalization Project.

The university announced on the 19th that, following last year's A grade in the project planning evaluation, it is the only university in the Busan area to receive an A grade for two consecutive years.

The first-year annual evaluation of the Regional University Revitalization Project, supported by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea, assessed the excellence of performance in areas such as cooperation and communication between local governments and universities, academic structure and curriculum for specialization, and project performance management, targeting 66 private universities outside the Seoul metropolitan area that receive general financial support.

Dongmyung University set Well-Life as its specialization field and received high marks for restructuring academic departments, operating a flexible academic system, expanding practical Do-ing classes, establishing a student-tailored support system, and student recruitment.

President Jeon Ho-hwan stated, "Through the Regional University Revitalization Project, we have established a local talent development system for Busan's strategic industries through close cooperation between Busan City and the local community."

President Jeon also emphasized, "We will contribute to regional development through a local talent development system linked with the community, and reflect this in the preliminarily selected Glocal University 30 Project to achieve final selection."

Dongmyung University also introduced that it was ranked 34th in the world in the leadership category of the 2024 WURI (World University Rankings for Innovation), which was announced at the 4th WURI Conference held in Switzerland on June 7.
