Identifying Three Areas: Internal Administration, Citizen Services, and Industry Promotion
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is launching a task force (TF) to discover AI-based administrative services.
Hwaseong City announced on the 19th that it will operate the 'Citizen Experience AI Project Discovery TF' in response to the era of AI normalization.
The TF, led by Vice Mayor Son Imseong, will be divided into a 'Think Tank Group' and a 'Working Promotion Team.' The city plans to discover new related public services through close cooperation between departments.
The 'Think Tank Group,' composed of heads of offices, bureaus, and departments, will decide on the direction and policies for introducing new AI projects. The Working Promotion Team will be organized into three areas: ▲Internal Administration ▲Citizen Services ▲Industry Promotion, to discover AI-based administrative services that citizens can experience and to prepare concrete implementation plans.
Earlier, in April, Hwaseong City established the 'AI Strategy Division,' the first among all basic local governments nationwide, through an organizational restructuring. The city aims to develop customized AI public services reflecting citizen needs to increase citizen satisfaction and maximize administrative efficiency through AI-based innovation.
Vice Mayor Son said, "AI, a core technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, will play an important role in improving citizens' quality of life," adding, "We will discover and promote various projects so that citizens can naturally experience AI in their daily lives."
