Geochang County to Conduct Youth Status Survey for Inclusion in 2nd Basic Youth Policy Plan

Jobs, Housing, and Culture & Leisure as Three Core Tasks
Various Policies Promoted Including the Opening of Geochang Youth Sai

Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do will conduct a youth status survey from the 19th to July 15th to understand the current situation of local youth ahead of establishing the 2nd Basic Youth Policy Plan (2025-2029).

The county previously conducted youth status analyses and surveys in 2020 and 2022, focusing on jobs, housing, and culture/leisure as the three main priorities. Based on these, it has promoted various policies such as marriage congratulatory funds, the province's first Youth Leap Fund, youth activity point system, and the opening of Geochang Youth Sai Center.

Geochang County to Conduct Youth Status Survey for Inclusion in 2nd Basic Youth Policy Plan

This survey serves as a basic study for establishing the Basic Youth Policy Plan, reflecting changes in the environment after COVID-19 and covering all aspects of youth life. The survey consists of 70 items in seven categories: general information, employment, housing, income and debt, culture and leisure, marriage and childbirth, and youth policy.

The survey targets youth aged 19 to 45 and will be conducted online via QR code. The representative youth network will actively promote the survey to increase participation rates among local youth.

County Governor Koo Inmo stated, "Based on the results of the two previous surveys, we have implemented customized youth policies. I expect that the results of this survey will also serve as important foundational data for advancing Geochang-gun's youth policies, and I hope for active participation and sincere responses."

Meanwhile, Geochang-gun plans to use the survey results not only as basic data for policy development but also to hold proposal contests and vision-setting meetings, thereby specializing its own policies and establishing a model to be reflected in the 2nd Basic Youth Policy Plan.
