Inspection of Workplace and Water Play Risk Areas, Heatwave Shelters, and Other Facilities Status
Jin Byungyeong, the governor of Hamyang County in Gyeongnam, inspected key sites such as small stream maintenance projects, water play danger zones, and heat shelters to proactively respond to natural disasters during the summer season.
County Governor Jin Byungyoung is inspecting the site of the forest fire suppression road project for proactive response to natural disasters during the summer season.
On the 18th, Governor Jin visited the steep slope collapse risk area maintenance project site in Gongbaeri, Jigok-myeon, followed by inspections of the Bongsan small stream maintenance project in Anui-myeon, water play danger zones, heat shelters, and forest fire suppression forest road projects. He checked the progress of each project and listened to any difficulties on site.
The county is promoting the Gongbae District 2 steep slope collapse risk area maintenance project, the Bongsan small stream maintenance project in Anui-myeon, and the forest fire suppression forest road project to protect the lives and property of residents and to prepare for and respond to disasters.
In particular, Governor Jin visited water play danger zones to encourage management staff and inspect safety equipment to prevent accidents caused by the early heat wave. He also visited the Naedong Village Hall in Anui-myeon, designated as a heat shelter, to check the operation of air conditioners and other cooling equipment, ensuring the elderly can spend the summer safely.
Governor Jin stated, "With abnormal weather conditions, such as heavy rain and heat waves, both natural and social disasters like water accidents are increasing, making safety more important than ever." He requested, "Please strengthen pre-inspections and do your best to ensure that projects proceed smoothly to protect the safety of our residents."
