Gyeongbuk Office of Education Announces 16.4:1 Competition Rate for Public Service Special Education Assistant Exam

Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) announced on the 19th that 909 applicants competed for 279 positions in the '2024 2nd New Recruitment Exam for Educational Public Officials,' resulting in an average competition rate of 3.3 to 1.


According to the application results from the 7th to the 13th, 320 people applied for 243 cook positions, resulting in a competition rate of 1.3 to 1, while 589 people applied for 36 special education assistant positions, resulting in a competition rate of 16.4 to 1. In particular, in the Andong area, 29 people applied for a single special education assistant position, marking a high competition rate of 29 to 1.

The first written test (personality and job competency test) will be held only for special education assistant applicants on July 6th. Detailed information, including the test venue, can be found on the websites of the Gyeongbuk Office of Education and city/county education support offices starting from the 20th.


Meanwhile, for cook positions, the first written test has been abolished and replaced with a document screening process since last year to enable rapid staffing in case of vacancies.


The second interview test will be held on July 25th for those who pass the first written test and document screening, and the final successful candidates will be announced on August 1st on the websites of the Gyeongbuk Office of Education and city/county education support offices.
