Exclusive Brand's First Global Flagship Store
Serving as a Foothold for Targeting the Global Fashion Market
Hansome, a fashion specialist company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 19th that it will open a global flagship store, ‘System·System Homme Paris,’ in the Marais district of Paris, the center of world fashion. This is the first time since its founding that Hansome has opened a standalone store for its brand overseas.
The new store spans two floors with a total area of 470㎡, making it the largest among the 147 System·System Homme stores. Under the concept of ‘Seoul where the past and present coexist,’ the store features a unique space that combines the dynamic image of Seoul with the trendy image of System through collaboration with domestic and international renowned designers and artists, including experts in ‘Dancheong,’ a traditional Korean wooden architectural pattern.
The store will showcase over 400 items, including clothing and accessories from the global exclusive line of System·System Homme, which has been presented since participating in Paris Fashion Week in 2019. Additionally, the Paris store will serve as a global logistics hub providing delivery services from Europe to North and South America and the Middle East. In March, Hansome launched a global platform where customers can purchase System·System Homme products online.
Hansome plans to focus all efforts on expanding its global sales network, starting with the opening of the Paris flagship store. Next month, it will hold a pop-up event targeting local customers at ‘Galeries Lafayette,’ a representative department store in Paris, France. Alongside this, Hansome plans to open official stores in major retail spaces across Europe and North America.
Since opening its own select shop brand ‘Tom Greyhound’ store in Paris in 2014, Hansome has steadily been knocking on the door of the global fashion market. Through the select shop, it has collected global fashion trends and built networks with local buyers, and it is the only domestic native fashion brand to have participated in Paris Fashion Week 12 consecutive times.
A representative of Hyundai G.F. Holdings, the holding company of Hyundai Department Store Group, said, “Hansome has steadily strengthened its position in the global fashion market by signing wholesale contracts with over 100 fashion and distribution companies in more than 30 countries worldwide, including Europe, North America, and Asia, through participation in Paris Fashion Week and other activities. We will continue to make efforts so that System·System Homme can grow into a leading K-fashion brand in the global fashion market, using this flagship store opening as a stepping stone.”
System·System Homme will hold a solo presentation at Paris Fashion Week on the 20th local time. The women’s brand ‘TIME’ plans to participate in the Paris Women’s Fashion Week in September and present a solo presentation.
