Injured Victim's Neck with a Bladed Weapon
Fortunately, No Threat to Victim's Life
A woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of injuring a nurse with a weapon after becoming angry over being kind to her husband.
On the 18th, Yonhap News reported that the Jeju Dongbu Police Station has booked and is investigating a woman in her 30s, identified as A, on charges of aggravated assault. At 12:57 p.m. that day, A wielded a nearby weapon in the urology ward of a general hospital, injuring nurse B, who was examining her husband, in the neck area. It was reported that B sustained a wound about 1.5 cm long on her neck and required suturing surgery. Fortunately, her life is not in danger.
The police, who responded to the report, arrested A at the scene. During the investigation, A stated, "I was annoyed because the nurse was too kind to my husband, so I acted out of anger." A police official said, "It has been determined that the victim (B) and the suspect's husband do not know each other personally," adding, "We are investigating the detailed circumstances of the incident."
