Asia Economy is hosting the 'Seoul Future Forum' to collectively contemplate the future of Seoul.

This year's theme for the Seoul Future Forum is 'The Future of Yongsan.'

Yongsan, a core axis of Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea, is undergoing a major transformation from a center of history and culture to a key economic hub.

The changes in Yongsan reflect the changes in Seoul and serve as a microcosm of the future. The Yongsan US military base, once called forbidden land, has returned to the people, and Yongsan Station and Seoul Station, which have served as national transportation hubs, are undergoing extensive renovations. The development of the 'Yongsan International Business District' is a crucial foundation to enhance Seoul's global competitiveness. Here, we will experience a people-centered 'compact city' unlike any other in the world.
