A former NFL coach in his 70s dating a woman in her 20s who used to be a cheerleader has become a topic of controversy in the United States. The age gap between the two is 48 years.
American entertainment media TMZ reported that Bill Belichick, the former coach who is 72 years old this year, is dating Jordan (24), a former cheerleader. Belichick is regarded as a legendary coach who has won the most Super Bowl titles, the biggest event in the NFL.

However, as his private life was revealed, harsh criticism poured in from the U.S. "Disgusting," "What is he thinking?" were some of the sharp reactions. One American netizen sarcastically criticized on the social media platform X, writing, "Imagine your daughter came home on the weekend with a new boyfriend, and that person was Bill Belichick."
According to TMZ, Jordan, Belichick’s partner, is a former cheerleader and beauty pageant contestant. She was the runner-up in the Miss Maine USA pageant held earlier this year. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Bridgewater State University in May 2022.
It is known that Jordan met Belichick in 2021 while she was attending college. TMZ reported, "One of Jordan’s former cheerleading teammates said they met on a flight from Boston to Florida, and later formed a bond through a philosophy project they were working on."
At that time, the two exchanged contact information and reportedly kept in touch for several months. TMZ added that earlier this month, Belichick also attended an NFL team, the Patriots, event with Jordan.
Meanwhile, Belichick is a figure who has worked as a coach and coordinator in the NFL for about 40 years. He is famous for his achievements of 11 Super Bowl appearances and 8 Super Bowl victories.
