Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, showed caution regarding the disclosure of the specific date of his daughter Cho Min's wedding. On the 18th, Cho appeared on the YouTube channel 'Kim Eo-jun's Humility is Difficult News Factory,' and when host Kim Eo-jun congratulated him on his eldest daughter Cho Min's marriage, he said, "I would prefer not to disclose the date. Strange people might engage in strange behavior," adding, "I am simply grateful as a father that my eldest daughter and her fianc? are getting married smoothly."

After sharing his thoughts, Cho soon commented on the East Sea gas field recently announced by President Yoon Suk-yeol, stating, "Even Australia's largest oil development company withdrew, yet they are trying to proceed through an effectively private contract with an obscure company that cannot even pay taxes," and added, "According to media reports, it costs at least 500 billion won, so whether public funds can be spent on this matter requires a national audit or investigation." He further said, "There is no procedure explaining on what grounds public funds are being invested," and "It is necessary to examine the basis for the decision."

He added, "According to media reports, it costs at least 500 billion won, so whether public funds can be spent on this matter requires a national audit or investigation."

When the host asked if there might be someone trying to profit from this development, Cho replied, "One cannot help but be suspicious. During Lee Myung-bak's presidency, 40 trillion won was poured into overseas resource development, but only 5 trillion won was recovered," adding, "No one knows whether the remaining 35 trillion won went solely to foreign companies or if some went to certain individuals along the way."

He continued, "The Lee Myung-bak resource development corruption case was never investigated by the prosecution and was all covered up. After the Moon Jae-in administration took office in 2018, public opinion surged, and under the leadership of then Seoul Central District Prosecutor Yoon Suk-yeol, a reinvestigation was conducted, but that too was quietly dropped," and added, "I don't know if President Yoon's experience with reinvestigating resource development corruption is why, but for a project involving such enormous sums of money, it is essential to verify on what grounds it was undertaken and whether there was any corruption in the company selection process in the future."
