Korea Fire Facility Association Delivers Scholarship to Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Department of Fire Safety Management

Cooperation for Firefighting Technology Workforce Development Since 2022

Education and Training Center Nameplate Handover Ceremony Also Held

Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) announced that the Korea Fire Facility Association has awarded a talent development scholarship and an education and training center plaque to outstanding students from the Department of Fire Safety Management.

The event was attended by key figures including Byun Gilja, Head of the Busan Branch of the Korea Fire Facility Association, Lee Cheolsang, Director of the Talent Education Headquarters, Kim Myungsoo, Auditor, Lee Hwaseok, Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, and Jo Subum, Head of the Department of Fire Safety Management.

The Fire Talent Development Scholarship was awarded to four students from the Department of Fire Safety Management, with each student receiving 1 million KRW. The scholarship served as academic and career motivation for the recipients in the fire protection industry.

The Korea Fire Facility Association stated that it plans to continue its scholarship sponsorship program to foster fire technology professionals.

The Department of Fire Safety Management at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has been designated as an education and training center for the cultivation and certification of fire engineers by the Korea Fire Facility Association since April 21, 2022. The department maintains a cooperative relationship for nurturing fire technology professionals, and the ceremony for presenting the education and training center plaque was held to commemorate this partnership.

Jo Subum, Head of the Department of Fire Safety Management at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, expressed his gratitude for the support in scholarships and talent development, and requested the continued maintenance of industry-academic relationships to foster fire professionals with specialized capabilities.

The Korea Fire Protection Association is awarding scholarships to the Department of Fire Safety Management at Dongui Science College.
