Dispatched to Various Festival Venues... First in Seoul City
Jongno-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) announced on the 18th that it will be the first in Seoul to launch the 'Resource Recycling Smart Experience Vehicle' project.
Starting this month, this project operates a smart experience vehicle equipped with unmanned collection machines for transparent PET bottles, cans, and paper packs to improve residents' awareness of waste separation, reduce waste discharge, and contribute to resource recycling.
Having recently completed vehicle modifications, Jongno-gu began demonstrations on the 17th and will conduct pilot operations until the end of this month. From next month, the smart experience vehicle will be dispatched to various festival venues held within the district. During periods with relatively fewer events, such as summer and winter, the vehicle will be assigned to elementary, middle, and high schools in the district to serve as an experiential platform to enhance students' awareness of waste separation.
District Mayor Jeong Munheon explained, "By operating the visiting resource recycling smart experience vehicle, we aim to normalize recycling, contribute to carbon neutrality and green growth, and expand contact points with residents."
