Gwanak-gu Policy Advisory Group Finds Policies in District Administration Field

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) operates the 'Gwanak-gu Policy Advisory Group' to actively gather fresh ideas for regional development by listening to a wide range of diverse opinions from residents on major policies.

The Policy Advisory Group held the '3rd Gwanak-gu Policy Advisory Group Subcommittee Meetings' on June 7 and 17 to visit key district facilities, helping members better understand Gwanak-gu's major policies and receive more vivid advice.

Among the six subcommittees within the Policy Advisory Group, on the 7th, the meetings were held with the ▲Planning and Economy Subcommittee ▲Administrative Innovation Subcommittee ▲Health and Welfare Subcommittee, and on the 17th, with the ▲Youth and Culture Subcommittee ▲Clean City Subcommittee ▲Safety, Construction, and Transportation Subcommittee, each divided into three subcommittees.

The visited facilities included ▲‘Sillim Venture Startup Center 1,’ a startup space in Gwanak S-Valley promoting key district projects ▲‘Sillim Rainwater Pump Station,’ a flood prevention facility ▲‘Gwanak Youth Center,’ a representative facility of Gwanak as a youth capital, where members toured the facilities and exchanged opinions along with project explanations on site.

A member who participated in the site visit said, “Through this visit, the Policy Advisory Group was able to provide more realistic advice by directly touring major district facilities and had the opportunity to jointly consider current issues.”

The district plans to continue providing opportunities for site visits to major district facilities, incorporating vivid, field-centered voices into policies.

Since its establishment in 2019, the ‘Gwanak-gu Policy Advisory Group’ has been a great support for district development by offering generous advice from residents’ perspectives on events such as the ‘Gang Gam-chan Festival,’ Gwanak’s representative festival, the Starlight Naerincheon Lighting Festival ‘Starlight Walk,’ and the 8th term mayoral pledges, starting with the ‘3rd Gwanak-gu Policy Advisory Group Appointment Ceremony’ on August 30, 2023.

Park Jun-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, said, “Thanks to the active support and encouragement of the Policy Advisory Group, which is actively engaged across various sectors, Gwanak-gu is achieving results in diverse fields. Since field-centered administration is essential for close communication and cooperation in district governance, I ask for many valuable opinions through site visits.”
