Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, is having a conversation with the heads of 16 neighborhoods on the afternoon of the 17th at the neatly maintained Ahyeon Market.
On the afternoon of the 17th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, and all 16 neighborhood chiefs attended the monthly neighborhood chiefs' meeting for June, held at Ahyeon Market.
The monthly neighborhood chiefs' meeting is held once a month to visit notable spots in each neighborhood, share information, and jointly explore ways to develop the area. In June, the meeting focused on discussing plans to revitalize Ahyeon Market.
On this day, Mayor Park Gang-su and the neighborhood chiefs communicated with the merchants of Ahyeon Market and carefully inspected the interior of the market, which was recently renovated with bright and safe flooring.
Going forward, the district plans to refurbish chairs, old signboards, and ceilings to make Ahyeon Market more comfortable for visitors.
Mayor Park Gang-su emphasized, “I believe the answer lies on-site, so it is important to engage in administration by actively visiting, observing directly, and communicating.” He urged, “Please do your best to discover hidden attractions in every corner of the 16 neighborhoods and improve them so that the entire Mapo District can develop evenly.”
