This campaign was planned with the purpose of raising awareness among residents about the crisis of local extinction, as the Youth Policy Council of Damyang County actively empathized with the need to respond to the population decline among the local youth.

On that day, the county and the Youth Policy Council visited the shops on Jungang-ro, Damyang-eup, where there is a high floating population, promoted policies supporting moving in, and encouraged merchants and visitors who actually reside in Damyang but have not changed their address to do so.

In addition to the address registration campaign to increase the population, the county is discovering and implementing moving-in policies to revitalize the area, such as supporting dormitory fees for high school and university students in the region, supporting housing management fees for military personnel, and the Gokgan Package support project.

A county official said, “We appreciate the Youth Policy Council for empathizing with the seriousness of population decline and playing a leading role in promoting the campaign,” and added, “We will continue to cooperate with related organizations to carry out population increase campaigns for sustained effects.”
