Drama Talent Development MOU Signing Ceremony
Dongseo University (President Jang Jeguk) and TBN Busan Traffic Broadcasting (President Kim Haejoo) have joined hands to produce a radio drama.
The two institutions announced that on the 17th, they signed a "Business Agreement for Collaborative Production of Radio Dramas and Talent Development" at the TBN Busan Traffic Broadcasting public hall.
Through this agreement, both sides will cooperate to produce a radio drama based on the story of Chungnyeolgong Song Sanghyeon, which is scheduled to be broadcast on Busan Traffic Broadcasting at the end of the year.
This radio drama will be produced mainly by the Department of Musical Entertainment at the Im Kwontaek College of Film and Arts at Dongseo University, bringing together young artistic talents from Busan. It will be organized and directed by Hong Sunju, the CEO of Kkiriproject and a leading young director in Busan as well as the producer of the musical "Oelounseong."
The work is being created to reflect the unique characteristics of the region, with the cast mainly composed of members from Dongseo Musical Entertainment, an in-school virtual company (IFS) at Dongseo University. It is expected to create local settlement-type jobs for young aspiring artists.
Through this agreement, TBN Busan Traffic Broadcasting and Dongseo University have agreed to actively cooperate in ▲ cultivating personnel for radio drama production ▲ joint research and development of cultural content and collaborative program development.
In the future, they plan to utilize a field campus that will allow students to receive field-oriented broadcasting experience education, in connection with the Glocal University Project and the Regional Innovation-led University Support System (RISE) project.
The Department of Musical Entertainment at Dongseo University was selected for the Cultural Arts Committee's Field-linked Support Project for Prospective Artists, established the in-school virtual company Dongseo Musical Entertainment, and is leading the local culture of Busan while taking the initiative in creating local settlement-type jobs.
On June 15, together with 46 students from Clark Memorial International High School in Japan, they performed at Sohyang Theater, actively engaging in international exchange as a group of young aspiring artists.
Hwang Kihyun, head of the Dongseo University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, said, "Through this agreement, we will develop radio drama content that represents the region in partnership with TBN Busan Traffic Broadcasting and create works that can be continued as a series every year."
Kim Haejoo, president of TBN Busan Traffic Broadcasting, emphasized, "We will develop this as a flagship content of Busan Traffic Broadcasting, which boasts the highest listener ratings, so that stories from our region can be widely heard through the national distribution network."
