Agenda for the Audit Committee in July
An employee of an affiliated organization in Chungnam Province was found to have embezzled several hundred thousand won, prompting the inspection team to launch an audit.
According to the province on the 17th, employee A of the affiliated organization was found to have misappropriated public funds while purchasing ingredients for meals with staff from June to August last year.
The provincial inspection team initiated an audit this year after receiving a report about A.
The audit confirmed the misappropriation of public funds, and since several people including A and the whistleblower are involved, an internal review is underway to determine the amount to be recovered based on the degree of involvement. The case is scheduled to be submitted to the Audit Committee by July.
A provincial official stated, "The report was received this year, and upon investigation, these facts were confirmed," adding, "It is scheduled to be submitted to the Audit Committee by July."
