Department of Counseling Psychology and Welfare at Silla University Signs MOU with Busan Lifeline

Support for Student Volunteer and Supporter Activities

The Department of Counseling Psychology and Welfare at Silla University (President: Heo Namsik) has signed a business agreement with its consortium partner, Busan Lifeline.


The signing ceremony was held on the 4th at the Busan Lifeline corporate office in Jeonpo-dong, Busanjin-gu, and was attended by Choi Heekyung, head of the Department of Counseling Psychology and Welfare at Silla University, Professor Son Jihyun, Oh Heungsook, chairperson of Busan Lifeline, Hong Jaebong, director, as well as students from the Department of Counseling Psychology and Welfare at Silla University.


The two organizations agreed to establish a practical system of mutual cooperation for mutual development and smooth operation of network projects, including support for volunteer and supporter activities by students of the Department of Counseling Psychology and Welfare, corporate visits, and provision of supervision for counseling and suicide prevention activities.


Busan Lifeline is a nonprofit civic organization that operates various activities and counseling rooms for the emotional and psychological stability of Busan citizens, including crisis intervention counseling, counseling for suicide prevention, and campaign activities.


Choi Heekyung, head of the Department of Counseling Psychology and Welfare at Silla University, stated, "Through this agreement, we will strive to ensure that our students can actively engage in exchanges with Busan Lifeline and foster mutual development."
