Boryeong City in Chungnam recently announced on the 17th that it achieved 5th place overall at the 76th Chungcheongnam-do Sports Festival.
The city participated with 595 athletes and 202 officials, winning 12 gold, 11 silver, and 31 bronze medals. By event, it ranked 1st overall in Judo, 2nd in Kendo, 3rd in Gymnastics, and 4th in Tennis, securing 5th place overall.
Kim Dong-il, Mayor of Boryeong, said, "It was thanks to the efforts and passion of the athletes and officials that we could achieve such good results," adding, "We will do our best to support the continuous growth of the athletes."
