Hanwha announced on the 17th that it will participate in 'Eurosatory 2024,' the world's largest land defense exhibition held in Paris, France, from June 17 to 21.

Amid the ongoing 'defense bloc formation' in European countries, which is expanding the use of weapon systems within the European Union (EU), Hanwha aims to promote the excellence of South Korean products and accelerate entry into the global market.

Eurosatory, held biennially since 1967, will host over 2,000 companies from more than 60 countries this year. Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Systems will set up the largest exhibition space among domestic companies, covering 308㎡.

At this exhibition, Hanwha Aerospace will showcase the multiple launch guided rocket system 'Cheonmu' in Europe for the first time. Along with a diversified missile lineup with ranges of 80, 160, and 290 km, they will emphasize that the system can use 122mm caliber rockets, which are currently used by dozens of countries worldwide, tailored to potential buyers' requirements.

Hanwha Aerospace is also considering operating a 'Cheonmu User Club' to share operational know-how as the number of Cheonmu purchasing countries expands. Cheonmu is attracting interest not only from existing buyers such as Poland but also from countries in the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Hanwha Aerospace currently operates the ‘K9 Self-Propelled Howitzer User Club,’ which includes nine countries including South Korea, sharing expertise on tactical operations, maintenance, and training once a year.

At the exhibition, Hanwha will present a comprehensive 'K9 Self-Propelled Howitzer package,' including a model of the second performance upgrade version (K9 A2) equipped with a fully automated turret, the K10 ammunition resupply vehicle, NATO-standard modular propellant charges, and precision-guided fuzes.

Hanwha Systems will showcase the integrated battlefield system (IVS) installed on the K2 tank exported to Poland, as well as the K9 self-propelled howitzer and Redback infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) produced in Australia. The IVS, which serves as the brain and sensory organs of ground combat systems, integrates command and fire control, various sensors, and communication systems, and can be applied to various weapon systems.

Hanwha Aerospace stated, "Our weapons, proven on the front lines of South Korea, are the optimal solution for maintaining peace worldwide. We will expand export countries by leveraging continuous technological development and world-class design and production expertise."
