Collaboration with Silicon Valley Ad Tech Company
"Verifying the Potential of K-AI Alliance"
SK Telecom is partnering with Moloco (CEO An Ik-jin), an ad tech startup founded in Silicon Valley, USA, to launch a customized advertising platform.
On the 17th, SKT announced that it will release 'ASUM 2.0,' an AI-based integrated advertising platform, through collaboration with Moloco.
Moloco is a startup that provides customized advertising platforms to companies. Utilizing advanced machine learning-based AI technology, it supports companies in efficiently executing advertisements. Moloco is also a member company of the K-AI Alliance promoted by SKT.
ASUM is a customized targeting advertising platform that uses telecommunication data based on SKT applications such as T Phone, T Membership, and PASS. SKT previously launched version 1.0 of ASUM in 2021.
Through this collaboration, the two companies will refine customer targeting in ASUM 2.0. AI will integrate the targeting technologies of both companies to show users more appropriate advertisements.
This allows advertisers to conduct marketing by leveraging telecommunication services and the latest targeting technologies. Users can receive advertisements relevant to their needs and obtain information, thereby reducing advertising fatigue.
For example, a customer with a history of purchasing pet supplies might see banner ads recommending pet food or pet clothing when opening the T Phone app.
Shin Sang-wook, head of SKT's advertising business, stated, "Through the technical business partnership with Moloco, we will verify the potential of the K-AI Alliance between telecommunication companies and ad tech, and we will attempt to enter the global ad tech market."
