Regular Application for 'Designation of Innovative Financial Services' Until the 28th

For Effective Review of Applications, Change 'Sangsi Sincheong' to 'Jeonggi Sincheong'

The Financial Services Commission announced on the 17th that it will conduct the first regular application period for designation of innovative financial services this year until the 28th.

The FSC has been accepting applications for designation of innovative financial services on an ongoing basis, but to improve operational efficiency and effectively review the applications within the set period (30 days after submission, up to 120 days if extended), it decided to accept applications only during a pre-announced period.

Companies wishing to apply for designation of innovative financial services can prepare the required documents according to the application method announced last month and submit the application form on the Financial Regulatory Sandbox website within the application period.

The FSC plans to decide on the designation of innovative financial services through the Innovative Finance Review Committee within the statutory review period (up to 120 days) for the applications received during this application period. The next regular application period will be from September 16 to 27.

An FSC official explained, "Companies preparing to apply but having difficulties in writing the application can request consulting support in advance from the Korea Fintech Support Center to receive assistance."
