Comprising over 30 experts in management strategy, accounting, finance, and capital policy
Utilizing advanced methodologies through KPMG network including leading value-up country Japan
Samjong KPMG announced on the 17th that it has established a "Value-Up Support Center" that provides comprehensive services such as management strategy, accounting, finance, and capital policy to enhance the corporate value of listed companies. This dedicated team is organized to resolve the Korea discount in the domestic capital market and support qualitative growth through value-up.
The Value-Up Support Center of Samjong KPMG is led by Shin Jang-hoon, Vice President of the Audit Division at Samjong KPMG. It consists of about 30 experts, including industry specialists for effective disclosure support according to corporate value enhancement plans, as well as management strategy, restructuring, and capital policy experts who assist with practical implementation and communication after disclosure.
Through the global KPMG network, the center plans to actively utilize advanced methodologies from overseas capital markets such as Japan, which started value-up policies earlier than Korea. It can provide integrated consulting on practical implementation measures including governance, organizational system establishment, business portfolio management, management control systems and process review, financial strategy, and capital policy, in addition to meeting the disclosure requirements mandated by the corporate value enhancement plan guidelines.
Recently, the Financial Services Commission also announced a corporate value enhancement plan for domestic listed companies. The guidelines were finalized at the end of last month. Listed companies can voluntarily conduct periodic disclosures once a year on the Korea Exchange’s Listed Company Disclosure System (KIND), including diagnosis of current corporate value, plan establishment and disclosure, implementation, and communication. Through this, they can receive eight types of benefits such as tax incentives and value-up awards.
Shin Jang-hoon, head of the Samjong KPMG Value-Up Support Center, said, “Not only large domestic companies but also strong small and medium enterprises have not been properly recognized for their fundamental value. The corporate value enhancement program is a great opportunity for the Korean stock market to take a leap forward.” He added, “The center will actively support domestic companies to improve their competitiveness and credibility through highly specialized knowledge and consulting experience, ultimately enabling them to receive fair corporate value evaluations from the capital market.”
To provide prompt consulting, a dedicated call center for the Value-Up Support Center has also been established. Companies with concerns related to the value-up program can receive immediate consultation through the call center.
