Song Da-eun became embroiled in various rumors when it was revealed that she worked at the hip-hop lounge bar 'Monkey Museum,' operated by Seungri during the 2019 Burning Sun Gate scandal.

She explained, "One day, a senior from school invited me to dinner. Seungri was there at that gathering," adding, "From then on, we kept in touch, and later I was contacted about the opening of a lounge club."

She continued, "At that time, my job at Monkey Museum was to check the reservation list on a laptop at the door and, if the guest was a reservation holder, to put a wristband on them," and said, "I agreed to help for just the first month. After about a month, I stopped working, and others in the same position as me also quit."

Song Da-eun said, "A few months later, Monkey Museum held its first anniversary party. I was invited as a thank you for working hard during the first month," and added, "Photos taken together later spread after I appeared on Heart Signal, leading to rumors that I had worked at Monkey Museum for over a year and even at Burning Sun."

She stated, "I am a non-smoker and not good at drinking alcohol," and explained, "Even after becoming an adult and until I graduated from university, I had never crossed the threshold of a club. I was so sensitive to alcohol that even a sip would make me drunk, so I only occasionally went to pubs near school or bars with university friends."

She said, "It is true that I worked at Monkey Museum for a month, but the company issued a statement denying my involvement with Burning Sun, though no one listened to me," and added, "All rumors about me related to Burning Sun are false. I know many people were hurt and suffered because of this, but I am not a perpetrator."

She also stated, "All rumors about me involving Burning Sun?such as dragging other women in, bad behavior, or dating someone related to Burning Sun?are untrue," and wrote, "A few days ago, another actress senior involved in the Burning Sun Gate spoke about the lost six years, and I felt the same way."

Song Da-eun shared, "I was dropped from all dramas I was cast in, and I was unable to continue activities such as advertisements and radio shows. I spent every day in tears and despair," and confessed, "Even now, all the false situations follow me like a label as if I actually did those things, which is frustrating and weighs heavily on my heart."

Meanwhile, the Burning Sun Gate refers to criminal incidents such as sexual crimes and illegal sharing of filmed materials that occurred at the nightclub Burning Sun in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
