On the 13th, Park Ha-sun appeared on the YouTube channel 'Eom Ji-won' and said, "I developed an illness because of the insults," adding, "But even on articles reporting that I was taken to the hospital because I was sick, there were comments (malicious comments)."

"At the time, I was hospitalized due to 'aspiration pneumonia,' but people confused it with 'smoking-related pneumonia' and left comments like 'Park Ha-sun got this because she smokes a lot,'" she said. "Since then, I have paid less attention to malicious comments. I just thought, 'Ah, they just want to insult.'" While smoking does increase the risk of pneumonia, there is no such disease as smoking-related pneumonia.

Eom Ji-won shared her own experience, saying, "If you only look at malicious comments, you might think, 'Does the whole world hate me?'" Park Ha-sun explained the reason for suing malicious commenters, saying, "So I am actively filing lawsuits. When it was just a personal issue, it didn’t matter, but now that my child might see the comments, I feel I need to take action against extremely severe malicious comments involving sexual harassment or attacks on my family."

Park Ha-sun was hospitalized and treated for aspiration pneumonia in 2021. Aspiration pneumonia is a condition where food or saliva enters the lungs through the airway instead of the esophagus, causing infection. In the early stages, symptoms such as fever, cough, and phlegm appear, which can be mistaken for a cold. If cold symptoms persist for a long time or cough lasts more than two weeks, pneumonia should be suspected and diagnosed.

Most healthy adults can be completely cured with antibiotic treatment, but chronic patients with hypertension, diabetes, infants, and seniors over 65 need to be cautious as it can be life-threatening. The first-generation comedian Bae Sam-ryong died from this disease.
